Elementary Principles: Introduction
Welcome to the "Elementary Principles about Christ" series. Over the years I have observed the great need for Christians to learn and become established in the elementary teachings of Jesus Christ. Since graduating from Bible College, I had focused my studies in the area of Christian education. Over the years I’ve had the privilege of serving in churches in a teaching capacity, whether it was with children, youth, young adults, discipleship classes, home Bible studies, missions etc. There is such a tremendous need and opportunity for sharing and investing God’s Word into the lives of others.
In elementary school we learned the basics: Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. These basic skills serve as an essential foundation for future learning. Likewise, as disciples of Jesus Christ, there are fundamental truths in God’s Word that first must be grasped before moving onto the weightier subjects in Scripture.
The goal of this podcast series is to lay a foundation of basic Biblical truths for new believers; using the Scriptural text found in Hebrews 5:11-6:12 as the basis for our study. For those readers who have been Christians for some time, I trust this material will serve to fill in some blanks that may be missing in your spiritual life. I have found that when it comes to Biblical teaching, we are all like Swiss cheese, full of holes- missing various fill in the blank truths. My prayer for you is that these podcasts will serve to create a bigger picture of Biblical reality in your life.
